The workshop will be held in the Large Conference Room (LCR) of the O'Reilly Insitute in Trinity College Dublin (TCD). A map is provided here for directions within the campus (http://www.tcd.ie/Maps/oreilly.html). TCD itself should be easy to find as it is a major landmark in Dublin and is in the very heart of the city.
For all regularly registered attendees (including students/early registrations), a light lunch will be provided at Fitzers restaurant at the National Gallery of Ireland, Clare Street. Dinner will also be provdided at Tante Zoe's Restaurant, 1 Crow Street, Temple Bar @ 19:30. The workshop will be hosted by the Graphics Vision and Visualisation Group (GV2), Trinity College Dublin.
Trinity College Dublin (TCD), established in 1592 is the oldest and one of the biggest Universities in Ireland. The campus is located in the center of Dublin, the capital of the Republic of Ireland and is easily accesible from various transport routes.
GV2, the Graphics Vision and Visualization research group at the Computer Science Department is an internationally active group involved in research into all aspects of visual computing. Particular areas of interest include: Perception and graphics, Real-time rendering and animation and Custom and multi-core hardware architectures. Previous members of the group were responsible for founding the wellknown Game Physics Middleware company havok, and Haptica, producers of PROMIS, a leading surgical training simulator. The group has previously been involved in organizing international conferences such as EUROGRAPHICS 2005, the ACM/EG Symposium on Computer Animation (held in Vienna) and the ACM Siggraph campfire on Perceptually Adaptive Graphics.
Dublin, the capital of Ireland, is widely accesible through many international routes. The budget airline Ryan Air (http://www.ryanair.com) operates out of Dublin to many european destinations. Another local airline is Aerlingus (http://www.aerlingus.com/). More useful travel links below:
Trinity College Dublin, the venue for the workshop, is in the very heart of Dublin City Center and withing walking distance to a large number of hotels. Unfortunately this can make them somewhat expensive and the area is a little bit noisy. Some reasonable hotels are listed below (prices vary with availability):
